The opening matters as much as the length.
For a thick drink or one with inclusions, specify the largest topping size and the drinking experience you want. An outside diameter alone may not describe the opening that matters to the customer. Include wall thickness and the resulting inside opening in the technical conversation.
If your team uses a sealed cup, show the actual film and explain how the straw will be inserted. Tip geometry, tube structure and the sealing setup should be assessed together. Do not treat a pointed appearance as proof of reliable puncture performance. Review the complete sample in your own service process.
Conventional sizes are stocked; share your required dimensions for a stock check. Custom dimensions start at 10,000 straws. Use a small selection of candidate samples for the initial comparison and record which drink, seal and topping combination each observation relates to.
