Specify the grade, not just the initials.
PLA stands for polylactic acid. For purchasing, the grade, any blend components and the finished geometry matter more than the abbreviation alone. Request the formulation description, intended-use conditions and documentation for the exact product. Do not assume that every PLA straw has the same temperature range or disposal route.
Begin with a controlled sample comparison in your actual drink. Record the beverage temperature, contact time, rim feel and lid fit. For overseas sales, review whether the finished item falls within local single-use plastic restrictions before approving it. Being bio-based or described as biodegradable does not automatically create an exemption.

Can I market any PLA straw as home compostable?
No. Home compostability needs evidence for the finished item under the relevant conditions. A resin name or an industrial-compostability document is not proof of home compostability.
What are the sample and shipping terms?
Samples are free. Buyers pay courier / shipping costs. Sample selection and freight are confirmed before dispatch.
Is a compostability certificate included?
Certification availability and scope must be confirmed for the specific product. This page does not claim a certification, a universal degradation time or suitability for every disposal route.
