Look beyond a material family to a finished product.
PHA refers to polyhydroxyalkanoates, a family of polymers. A family name is not a finished-product certificate. Ask which grade and formulation are proposed, what components are included and which documents apply to the actual straw dimensions. Environmental statements should identify their tested conditions and scope.
Review the product in the service setting that matters to your customers. Consider the drink, duration, temperature, lid opening and packaging format. For custom laser branding, approve legibility and position on the actual surface. Keep a reference sample alongside the agreed specification so future discussions have a concrete starting point.

Does PHA mean the straw can be littered or left in the sea?
No. No material name makes littering an appropriate disposal route. Any biodegradation claim must be tied to evidence and specific conditions; use the locally accepted disposal system for the selected product.
What are the sample and shipping terms?
Samples are free. Buyers pay courier / shipping costs. Sample selection and freight are confirmed before dispatch.
Is a compostability certificate included?
Certification availability and scope must be confirmed for the specific product. This page does not claim a certification, a universal degradation time or suitability for every disposal route.
